Student Organizations

Student organizations are a fun and educational way for students in Career and Technical Education classes to develop technical skills and gain real world career experiences develop civic and personal responsibilities.

Every CTE class should have an active chapter of the student organization. All students enrolled in CTE classes are automatically members of an organization. Students should talk to their CTE teacher for more information.

Organizations representing each CTE discipline are listed below:

Agriculture Education - FFA (Future Farmers of America) - FFA is an inter-curricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership.

Business and Information Technology - FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) - FBLA's mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 250,000 members prepare for careers in business.

Family and Consumer Sciences - FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) - FCCLA makes a difference in member’s families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.

Health and Medical Sciences - HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) - HOSA enhances the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping the student meet the needs of the health care community.

Marketing Education - DECA (An Association of Marketing Students) - DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs

Technology Education - TSA (Technology Students Association) – The TSA fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Trade & Industrial Education – SkillsUSA - SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training.
