We care about all of our students and want to help them make good choices in life. Children need a wide array of support to succeed, and they need even more support when they struggle. To that end, student discipline is a shared responsibility.
Since Superintendent Dr. Elie Bracy III began working in Portsmouth two years ago, he’s been working to change student behaviors, create a more positive climate in schools, and reduce suspensions.
On Tuesday March 14, Dr. Bracy met with dozens of parents, teachers and community advocates to discuss student discipline. He shared information about the division’s ongoing efforts to support students and parents as well as to reduce suspensions. Together, we can make a difference.
Here’s the presentation.
