In his working relationships with people, Reverend Reid’s primary focus has been, and still is, on the three Cs:  Compassion, Competence, and Composure.  His
personal commitment is to provide a safe learning environment so that every child has an opportunity to receive a high-quality education.

As a former financial advisor, he brings sound fiscal responsibility to his ministerial calling.  Dr. Reid is the senior pastor at Olive Branch Baptist Church of Portsmouth.  He is married to the former Sherelle Harris of Richmond, Virginia.  They have two sons:  Ernest III and Noah, both of whom are enrolled in the public schools of Portsmouth.
