Courtyard Captures Student Interest
Posted on 11/16/2015
Students have access to weather equipment, a vegetable garden, a flower garden, a composter, a pond for tadpoles and frogs, milkweed, dill and parsley for the caterpillars. Fourth graders are particularly engaged with the courtyard — asking to give up their recess time to pick vegetables, to plant flowers, to pull weeds, and to spin the composter. In the school office, you may find vegetables for sale. Proceeds benefit OASIS to help the homeless in our city.
