Who Are We?
The Family Information Center of Portsmouth Public Schools is one of the many Special Education Parent Resource Centers located throughout Virginia. Each center is directly related to Virginia Dept. of Education and linked to the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC). Although general information and guidance is distributed from VDOE and PEATC to centers throughout the state, each center is unique to the city it serves. Specific informational sessions and resources address issues pertinent to the location; in this case, resources are concerned with Portsmouth Public Schools educational goals and needs.
